Perfect Caper offers haute cuisine in Punta Gorda
Cutting-edge Cuisine in an Unlikely Place
This little hamlet in Southwest Florida might not be more than a page in
your guidebook, but The Perfect Caper definitely deserves a mention in
the fine-dining section. In fact, you may even be surprised to find such
haute cuisine in such an enexpected place. Chef Jeanie Roland and husband
James will delight your palate with global fusion delights like pan crusted
sea scallops and duck a' deux facons.. For appetizers, you'll have a tough
choice deciding between such treats as rare yellow fin tuna wrapped in
nori and pastry and the caper antipasto platter, a delightful combination
of fresh cheeses, white bean and garlic salad, marinated olives and more.
The restaurant is located in a bright orange house along colorful and quaint
Sullivan Street, and the rolands are so intent on spreading the word by
mouth that they don't even have a sign. It's a perfect stop for a romantic
dinner when traveling between Tampa and Fort Myers. reservations and information
can be obtained by calling 941.505.9009 or by email at enjoydining@theperfectcaper.com
